{"id":3146,"date":"2022-05-04T11:13:28","date_gmt":"2022-05-04T14:13:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cehum.org\/?p=3146"},"modified":"2022-08-08T12:00:52","modified_gmt":"2022-08-08T15:00:52","slug":"probaran-eficiencia-de-humedales-depuradores-para-reutilizacion-de-aguas-residuales-en-agricultura","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cehum.org\/?p=3146","title":{"rendered":"Probar\u00e1n eficiencia de humedales depuradores para reutilizaci\u00f3n de aguas residuales en agricultura"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Gracias a la adjudicaci\u00f3n de un Fondo Estrat\u00e9gico en Sequ\u00eda del Ministerio de Ciencia, el Centro de Humedales R\u00edo Cruces de la UACh -en consorcio con otras universidades del pa\u00eds- medir\u00e1 y evaluar\u00e1 la eficiencia de humedales depuradores de aguas negras y grises para su re\u00faso en agricultura y forraje desde Iquique a Valdivia. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>El proyecto cuenta con la participaci\u00f3n de la Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Valpara\u00edso, la Universidad Cat\u00f3lica del Maule, la Universidad Arturo Prat, la Universidad de Playa Ancha, el CIDERH, la Red de Investigadores de Recursos H\u00eddricos y la Sociedad de Toxicolog\u00eda y Qu\u00edmica del Ambiente (SETAC). <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La escasez h\u00eddrica que afecta al pa\u00eds hace imperiosa la b\u00fasqueda de alternativas para el uso eficiente del agua, y para la exploraci\u00f3n de fuentes alternativas para riego. En este contexto, se lanz\u00f3 ante autoridades, investigadores y comunidad el proyecto \u201cHumedales depuradores: Reutilizando agua para la agricultura. Soluciones basadas en la naturaleza para mitigar la escasez de agua a lo largo de Chile\u201d<\/p>\n<p>El objetivo de esta iniciativa, financiada por el Ministerio de Ciencias a trav\u00e9s de ANID, es utilizar humedales depuradores para optimizar procesos naturales para el tratamiento de aguas residuales, por lo que se considerar\u00e1n humedales construidos en Iquique, Quilpu\u00e9, Talca y Valdivia. El equipo ejecutor del proyecto realizar\u00e1 mediciones y pruebas para determinar con precisi\u00f3n la eficiencia de estas soluciones basadas en la naturaleza para la reutilizaci\u00f3n de agua en agricultura y forraje, generando una alternativa resiliente al cambio clim\u00e1tico y de valor para zonas rurales y periurbanas.<\/p>\n<p>Ignacio Rodr\u00edguez, director ejecutivo del CEHUM, indic\u00f3 que \u201cpara nosotros es importante generar datos robustos de la eficiencia de estos sistemas para la agricultura rural y su impacto en los sistemas acu\u00e1ticos. Pero tambi\u00e9n, queremos desarrollar una propuesta metodol\u00f3gica que permita incorporar los humedales depuradores en los sistemas de evaluaci\u00f3n social utilizados en la inversi\u00f3n p\u00fablica, asunto clave para que estos puedan implementarse y expandirse a lo largo del pa\u00eds\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Pedro Guerra, dirigente del gremio frut\u00edcola de la regi\u00f3n de Los R\u00edos, valor\u00f3 el trabajo que desarrollar\u00e1 a trav\u00e9s de este consorcio. \u201cLo que est\u00e1 haciendo el CEHUM y el resto de las universidades es tremendamente relevante para la agricultura familiar campesina, porque significa que la academia baj\u00f3 a terreno. A las personas de la zona norte se les est\u00e1 muriendo todo, por lo que esto debe ir lo m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido posible para ir en ayuda de las zonas m\u00e1s complicadas\u201d, afirm\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 son los humedales depuradores?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Son soluciones basadas en la naturaleza que permiten replicar algunos de los servicios ecosist\u00e9micos que brindan los humedales naturales, como por ejemplo limpiar y distribuir agua limpia en cantidad y calidad.
